De trailer geeft naar't schijnt serieus wat twists weg dus kijken op eigen risico;
● It's official: Dune to world premiere at the Venice film festival!
● Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal, LaKeith Stanfield To Star In Garth Davis-Directed Grounded Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Foe’
"The film is a taut, sensual, psychological mind-bender set in the near future where corporate power and environmental decay are ravaging the planet. Junior (Mescal) and Hen (Ronan) are a young couple married seven years and living a solitary life on their isolated farm. One night, a stranger named Terrance (Stanfield) knocks on their door, bringing news that throws their lives into turmoil: Junior has been randomly selected to travel to a large, experimental space station orbiting Earth. The most unusual part? Arrangements have already been made so that when he leaves, Hen won’t have a chance to miss him, because she won’t be left alone—not even for a moment. Hen will have familiar company that pushes her to make a life-changing decision."
● See Season 2
Jason Momoa kicking ass in a weird religious but strangely believable post apocalyptic society of the blind. Season 2 will be packing even more muscle cause Bautista is joining Momoa.
● The high-concept sci-fi series from Legendary Television and Amazon, “Lightyears,” is officially in production now. The filming for the series that stars J.K. Simmons in the lead role started in Chicago, today.
“Lightyears” follows Franklin and Irene York, a couple who years ago discovered a chamber buried in their backyard, which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended…and the mysterious chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined.
● Vin Diesel is joinging the Avatar franchise.
Onlangs deelde het productie team deze concept voor world ocean day;
● The start of an AfroFuturism renaissance?
Here are the full details for the animated Disney+ anthology Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire.
www.slashfilm.com
Filmmakers from Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt bring unique animation to Disney+ with Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, a 10-part collection of original films that will premiere on the streaming service next year. Peter Ramsey, co-director of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, serves as executive producer for the anthology, which is comprised of sci-fi and fantasy stories set in a futuristic Africa.
● Elijah Wood and Julia Davis are the latest to join Legendary’s new Toxic Avenger movie, which is set to star Peter Dinklage as the mutant superhero. The film is a reboot of ultra-low-budget franchise that began as a 1984 film and inexplicably spawned multiple sequels, an animated series, a comic, and a stage musical.
Rad!
