In late 1997, a runaway teenager and her small yellow toy robot travel west through a strange American landscape where the ruins of gigantic battle drones litter the countryside, along with the discarded trash of a high-tech consumerist society addicted to a virtual-reality system. As they approach the edge of the continent, the world outside the car window seems to unravel at an ever faster pace, as if somewhere beyond the horizon, the hollow core of civilization has finally caved in.
Millie Bobby Brown will play lead.
● Anthony Mackie is an Android in netflix's nieuwste; Outside the Wire
Ziet er nogal generisch uit maar in deze corona tijden mogen we niet al te kieskeurig zijn. Release deze vrijdag; 15 jan.
● Matrix 4 hype intensifier
"Lana Wachowski is doing some really interesting things on a technical level in the same way that you know, she created a style back then. I think she’s going to change the industry again with this film. There’s some camera rigs that I’ve never seen before that we’re using. That’s probably all I can say for that.”
● New Garland sci-fi flick coming from A24
I am a simple man, I see A24, i get excited. I see Garland, I get excited. I see both joining forces, I get doubly excited.
● Michel Gondry to Direct ‘As She Climbed Across the Table’, a Love Triangle Involving a Black Hole
In 2004 bracht Gondry ons Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind en nu, bijna 20 jaar later, kiest hij met As She Climbed Across the Table eindelijk nog eens voor genre overschrijdende science fiction.
"Alice Coombs is a particle physicist, and she and her colleagues have created a void, a hole in the universe, that they have taken to calling Lack. But Lack is a nullity with taste—tastes; it absorbs a pomegranate, light bulbs, an argyle sock; it disdains a bow tie, an ice ax, and a scrambled duck egg. To Alice, this selectivity translates as an irresistible personality. To Philip, it makes Lack an unbeatable rival, for how can he win Alice back from something that has no flaws—because it has no qualities?"
Sounds proper weird. I like it already.
● 5 februari verschijnt het zuid Koreaanse Space Sweepers op netflix
●Disney komt met nieuwe Alien reeks voor FX
‘Alien’ will be helmed by ‘Fargo’ and ‘Legion’s’ Noah Hawley, stepping into the creator [and] executive-producer chair, working alongside Sir Ridley Scott. Set not too far into our future, it’s the first ‘Alien’ story set on Earth, and by blending both the timeless horror of the first ‘Alien’ film with the non-stop action of the second, it’s going to be a scary thrill ride that will blow people back in their seats.”
Yes please.
