Infantino's salvo stopte niet bij de wereldbeker voor clubs, want in één beweging kondigde hij de lancering van een 'FIFA World Series' aan. In dat vriendschappelijke tornooi moeten 'verschillende landen uit verschillende continenten het tegen elkaar opnemen'. Het idee is om de World Series in de even jaren in maart te laten plaatsvinden.
Allez, nog een nieuw international toernooi om de kassen te spijzen zonder rekening te houden met clubs en vooral spelers zelf.
