World of Warcraft European Closed Beta Test News - Ryann, 11/08/2004
It’s been two weeks since the close of the European World of Warcraft Beta Test sign-ups, and the selection process for the first group of beta testers is now nearing completion. However, as we have an impressive list of applications, the finalization of the first selection still lays a little way ahead.
The first wave of authentication keys for the European Closed Beta Test will be sent out to beta testers by email as soon as the selection process is completed. With these keys, testers will be able to create their accounts for the Beta Test using a Web interface that will be hosted on the official European World of Warcraft Beta Test Web sites (www.wow-europe.com/de, /fr, and /en).
During its first phase, the Beta Test will not be localized, which means that all European beta testers will initially be using the English language version of the game client. However, as the Beta Test progresses, fully localized French and German clients will be made available for download.
We will announce the notification of the first group of testers and the start of the European World of Warcraft Closed Beta Test on these sites as well as on the official European Blizzard sites: Blizzard.co.uk, Blizzard.de, and Blizzard.fr.

ik denk toch nie dat de eerste betatesters er al zullen zijn tegen volgende week deze tijd. volgens mij was die announcement op de website van WoW gewoon iets om de gemoederen een beetje te bedaren. mijn gedacht is da we ier nog een weekske tenminste gaan mogen wachten

Want blizzard kennende , als ze iets voorzichtig zeggen zal het nog wel effe duren.

En net onder dat nieuws bericht staat de introductie van een duitse gm "Gungdil" en daar staat bij "You’ll hear from them shortly via the official European World of Warcraft beta-tester forums, which are due to go live in the next few weeks. "
Dus als ze zeggen dat het forum pas binnen enkele WEKEN opengaat denk ik niet dat ze de beta al gaan startten
En ze hebben nog geen franse en engelstalige mensen gevonden:
"A Community Manager who will be supporting German-speaking players has recently joined the Blizzard Europe team, and Community Managers for the English and French-speaking communities will not be far behind."
Ik hoop NATUURLIJK dat ik ernaast zit maarrrrrr......

Servers Down in Preparation for Patch! - Block on 08/17/04
There is nothing wrong with the servers. Do not attempt to adjust your monitor. We control the horizontal and the vertical. The servers are down because we have started preparing them for the new World of Warcraft beta patch! When they come back up, you’ll be able to log on and begin downloading the patch. We don’t expect this to be too long; we’ll post another message here when they’re ready.
Servers Back Up...Please Connect to Download Beta Patch! - Block on 08/17/04
The World of Warcraft servers are back up and are ready for you to connect and start downloading the new patch. The patch is approximately 800MB, so please be prepared for a sizable download. PLEASE NOTE that we’ll be doing some final tuning on the servers for several hours, so it’s likely that you will have finished downloading the patch before you’re actually able to log back on and start playing again. We’ll post another message here when the servers are ready for you to reconnect. For those of you who are interested in seeing what’s in store with this patch, we will be posting the patch notes here shortly.
Please keep in mind that the World of Warcraft beta is a work in progress, and we continue to find your even-tempered constructive feedback very helpful. If you don’t like something about the new patch, please take a deep breath, count to 10 slowly, and then send us a /suggest in-game with a balanced presentation of your thoughts. We continue to read every suggestion and bug submission.
