Met de start van het finale seizoen van Legion voor de deur alsook de wedergeboorte van Rick & Morty met Season 4 in November en die nieuwe Piccard show in December ziet het ernaar uit dat het best nog een goed jaar gaat worden. HBO's 3e seizoen van Westworld ziet er ook best interessant uit;

Alsook voor I am Mother. A high-concept apocalyptic sci-fi movie, I Am Mother made waves at the Sundance Film Festival where it was picked up by Netflix for release this summer.

Time Bandits krijgt een reboot show. Ook Simon Kinberg en M. Night Shyamalan, zullen SF reeksen presenteren en last but not least, Isaac Asimov's Foundation is ook in productie.

Naar dat nieuwe seizoen van Archer ben ik echt wel benieuwd

Foundation kon me niet bekoren eigenlijk. Het idee vond ik wel interessant, maar voor de rest voelde het heel outdated aan. Iets waar ik normaal niet teveel last van heb.
Maar de serie ga ik ook wel in't oog houden.

● Het gebeurt niet vaak maar met Ad Astra speelt er eindelijk nog eens origineel sci-fi werk in onze zalen!
Reviews spreken een meesterwerk so hopes are high. Ik ga maandag, will report back!

● Netflix Sci-Fi Film ‘Good Morning Midnight’ Will Be Directed By and Star George Clooney
Clooney will direct and star in Good Morning, Midnight, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi film destined for the streaming service. The film will be adapted from the 2016 sci-fi novel by Lily Brooks-Dalton about a scientist in the Arctic trying to make contact with a spacecraft returning to Earth.

Heb er best zin in maar kan natuurlijk op vele manieren fout gaan. Dat gezegd zijnde, 1 van de wachowski sisters is back, so is Neo and Trinity en met John Toll hebben ze al een heel leuke cinematograaf te pakken ook. (Thin Red Line )

● Alien werd onlangs 40 jaar en dat werd gevierd met een nieuwe documentaire die naart schijnt serieus de moeite is;

● Can't finish a post without a mention of Dune;
Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune cast can’t stop heaping tons of praise on the director. The latest actor to put in his two cents about the acclaimed filmmaker is Stellan Skarsgard, who promised that Villeneuve is being given almost complete creative freedom on the film by Legendary and Warner Bros.

Ik heb het gevoel dat deze wat onder de radar gepasseerd is maar deze serie van Alex Garland is het beste dat ik dit jaar al gezien heb. Deze week laatste aflevering en kan niet wachten! Aanrader.

The hype must flow!

Devs is inderdaad wel de moeite en heel typisch Garland. Acht eps is wel echt genoeg, thoeft niet langer.

Van Underwater vond ik vooral de geweldig. Maar voor de rest pretty mediocre.

Midnight Sky stond nog niet op mijn radar, bookmarked! thanks!

Tales from the Loop is anders ook niet slecht, gebaseerd op art design van Simon Stålenhag.

Die soundtrack van Devs is... speciaal. Loving it quite a bit so far.

Tales from the loop was nice maar dunno. Komt toch beetje onder verwachting binnen. Kreeg altijd een heel andere vibe van Stalenhags concept art. Zit wel serieus wat emotie in de reeks maar voelt soms een beetje geforceerd en gemaakt imo. Maar nog altijd wel de moeite om is te checken idd.

Nice! Amazon is niet verlegen om serieus wat geld tegen hun series aan te smijten en deze zal het nodig hebben dus ben blij dat zij het gaan doen en niet Syfy channel en consoorten.
