Dune moving into pre-production
Also; Villenueve has called his new adaptation of the book “Star Wars for adults" -trolololo

Y: The Last Man’ FX Series in production
“Yorick Brown — the only human survivor of a planet-wide plague that instantly kills every mammal possessing a Y chromosome. Accompanied by a mysterious government agent, a brilliant young geneticist and his pet monkey, Ampersand, Yorick travels the world in search of his lost love and the answer to why he’s the last man on earth.
Ik heb de comic gelezen en ik kan je vertellen dat dit geen standaard post apocalyptisch verhaaltje is.

Prophet Movie, From ‘Deadpool’ Creator Rob Liefeld, in the Works
Nu Deadpool zo goed scoort staat Rob Liefeld ook terug op de kaart. Zijn X-Force is al in productie maar ook zijn Prophet heeft zonet groen licht gekregen.
"John Prophet, a poor and homeless man living in the World War II era, volunteered to participate in the medical experiments of Dr. Horatio Wells, a time-traveling scientist from the future who used DNA-enhancing methods to transform Prophet into a supersoldier. He was engineered to serve the evil Phillip Omen and programmed with murderous instincts. Wells had a change of heart though and changed Prophet’s programming from evil to a strong belief in God. Wells planned for Prophet to be placed into stasis for many years and then re-emerge in the future to help Wells’s people fight the evil Disciples. Eventually found by Youngblood, Prophet awakens disoriented, in a world he does not recognize." Klinkt als een deranged Captain America on steroids.

The Russo Brothers’ ‘Quantum and Woody’ TV Series is in Development at TBS
Once upon a time, Eric and Woody Henderson were inseparable. Adopted brothers. Best friends. Brilliant minds. Years later, they are estranged siblings, petty rivals, and washed-up failures. But when their father’s murder leads them into the throes of a life-altering scientific accident, Eric and Woody will find themselves with a whole new purpose – and a perfectly legitimate reason to wear costumes and fight crime. Go big or go home, folks! Quantum and Woody are coming! (And, yes, there will be a goat too. Eventually.)
In the comic, the characters must make physical contact every 24 hours because they were in the same lab accident – if they don’t, they die.

Halo Coming to Showtime, Starts Filming in 2019
Showtime has announced that they’re adapting the mega-popular Xbox video game series Halo into a TV show, and it will begin shooting early next year. That sound you’re hearing? That’s the sound of fans’ heads exploding all over the damn world.
Yep, sounds about right.
Showtime has ordered 10 hour-long episodes for its first season. Het is nog niet helemaal duidelijk in welke periode de show zou plaats vinden maar geruchten doen de ronde dat deze zich zal afspelen in de 26ste eeuw. Fingers crossed for 2552!

Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) will direct multiple episodes of the show and executive produce. Steven Spielberg‘s Amblin Television will produce alongside Showtime and Microsoft/343 Industries.

Duncan Jones Appears to Be Making a ‘Rogue Trooper’ Movie
Duncan Jones posted a homemade video to Twitter over the weekend featuring himself pondering what project to tackle next. He alludes to the possibility of something Marvel or DC related, even mentions the likes of Image Comics and Dark Horse. But we soon find that what tickles the fancy of Duncan Jones is something from the 2000 AD comic book world, where Judge Dredd resides. However, Jones doesn’t have his eyes on reviving Dredd... While he doesn’t come right out and say it, the mohawk sported by Jones in the above video and the reference to 2000 AD comics is a dead giveaway. That’s the signature hairstyle of none other than Tor Cyan, a blue-skinned, genetically engineered soldier tasked with fighting a planetary civil war on a world where the atmosphere has long since become toxic. Tor is joined by three other soldiers in the form of biochips. In this universe, a soldier’s personality is downloaded when they die and used later to assist other soldiers. In this case, Rogue is accompanied by Gunnar (on his rifle), Bagman (on his backpack) and Helm (on his helmet).

Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in an upcoming Star Trek series coming to CBS All Access.
That's some serious nostalgia baiting they got going on there maar kan niet zeggen dat ik niet geinteresseerd ben.
