KN-StrideR zei:Concerns about European Relationship:
While there are still 3 days left in september there has not been any news whatsoever if the closed beta test is about to start on the announced date. While one can argue that "no news is good news" this does not account for blizzard since holding up to their announced dates isn't one of their strong points.
Blizzard has already admitted that there was 10 times the forseen interest in WoW when it was first announced and went into beta. We already have to wait longer for our release due to localisation. And as far as we europeans can see, no special efforts are publicly made to accomodate us. Remember that there are also 10 times as much people following WoW very closely but are not as vocal. I don't mind the longer wait for the release, i'm more concerned about the following updates.
Although Blizzard is known for their excellent support of games (warcraft, diablo) this is also the first time that they have to localise their support across multiple regions. My biggest fear is that we end up with another Daoc scenario (patches are behind a couple of months, and customer-support is unheard of).
This is to say the least, not a very good business-tactic, but because daoc is from the days where mmorpgs were far and between, they could naturally afford a lacking customer support.
Mind you, this is not a "do this or i won't play the game" kinda thing i will definitly buy and play the game... but i just HOPE that Blizzard does it right, as they have always done, and make the patches/future updates as synchronised as possible, and provide a comparable support to americans, europeans & koreans alike. I am one of the few lucky europeans who got into the American Beta, but many more weren't so lucky and are waiting for a chance to jump in the fray.
So to conclude: yes we are eaglery awaiting to get our piece of the action!
heb veel zin om dit te posten op de beta-forums, maar dan word ik weer kapotgeflamed door de american fanboys met shuddup european you're not important en shit gelijk da.

Hello and welcome to the European World of Warcraft forums. We have no idea how you got here, but since you’re already there, the least we can do is welcome you.
As you can see, we are getting everything ready for the European Beta Test, which will begin – you probably guessed it – soon. =)
Until then, have a look at our completely empty forums. No, seriously, there is absolutely nothing to see here – except for some threads with intriguing names such as “TEST” or “fgfhajsjd”.
Ok, have a look around, read our informative test-threads (Do not miss our upcoming demonstration of BML!), and enjoy this short opportunity to have a look at what’s going on behind the scenes.
We’ll see you in Azeroth…
