Sorry to add to the mass of Terran imba threads but most of them are subjective whining by noobs so I wanted a more objective, statistical thread on the subject. Ok, first of all here are the stats for the different races:

Now, let me stop people from making incorrect assumptions about these statistics. First, yes ALL races have a 50% win ratio, this means NOTHING due to the way the match making system works (it is designed to keep everyone around a 50% win ratio).
Yes, zerg is the least played race, again this means NOTHING about balance. It makes sense that the human and humanoid alien race are more popular than the insect alien race. Also, zerg's play style is significantly different that protoss and terran, which may also account for some differences. I play Terran because I like shooting guns and missiles more than lasers or bile, my race choice is based on the feel of the race, not balance, I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Here are some more stats for you people that aren't as obvious:
Out of 179,000 Terran players, 4.5% are in diamond.
Out of 103,000 Zerg players, 6.8% are in diamond.
Out of 180,000 Protoss players, 5.5% are in diamond.
Contrary to popular belief, Terran has the lowest % of diamond players within their race.
For those that don't understand, this means for every 100 Terran players, 4.5 are in diamond league, for every 100 zerg, 6.8 are in diamond, and for every 100 Protoss, 5.5 are in diamond. Now, if we take into account that each races win % is virtually identical, this means that Terran is doing the worste of all 3 races. Terran is tearing up the bronze league though, maybe that's where all of these imba QQ'ers are coming from.
If I expand that statistic to include platinum league, you get:
23% of Terran
21.9% of Protoss
23.3% of Zerg
Not exactly a huge advantage for Terran here either.
Now, feel free to refute my argument with your own, OBJECTIVE arguments. I don't want to hear anything ancedotal about how you got steamrolled by Terran so they must be OP, the forums are littered with enough of that already. I also don't have enough time to watch a million replays of noobs rushing a line of seige tanks/marauders with roaches or stalkers only to explain to them why that was a bad idea. Do you see something in the stats that I don't? Something I didn't consider perhaps?
I don't feel OP playing Terran compared to the other races, so I looked up the stats to see if there really was an objective difference, or if it was just a bunch of noobs whining. Right now it looks like the latter. Feel free to ask me how to beat a Terran strat that owned you in this thread as well. Since that's what people should be doing instead of crying about OP.
