Travel from the halls of Marshall College to the heart of the Vatican, the pyramids of Egypt, the sunken temples of Sukhothai, and beyond. When a break-in in the dead of night ends in a confrontation with a mysterious colossal man, you must set out to discover the world-shattering secret behind the theft of a seemingly unimportant artifact. Forging new alliances and facing familiar enemies, you’ll engage with intriguing characters, use guile and wits to solve ancient riddles, and survive intense set-pieces.

Indiana’s trademark whip remains at the heart of his gear and can be used to distract, disarm, and attack enemies. But the whip isn’t just a weapon, it’s Indy’s most valuable tool for navigating the environment. Swing over unsuspecting patrols and scale walls as you make your way through a striking world. Combine stealth infiltration, melee combat, and gunplay to combat the enemy threat and unravel the mystery.

Venture through a dynamic mix of linear, narrative-driven gameplay and open-area maps. Indulge your inner explorer and unearth a world of fascinating secrets, deadly traps and fiendish puzzles, where anything could potentially hide the next piece of the mystery – or snakes. Als je het zo beziet is het in beide opzichten verkeerd. Wat dat is een Point and Click "Adventure" niet gewoon een adventure game.
Net zoals Tomb Raider een Action Adventure game is. Nu als iemand over Adventure games begint denk ik wel veel sneller aan een action adventure game dan een point and click game. Anyway, misverstaan dan

Ik hoop alvast first person. Als Doom Eternal wel iets bewijst is dat beweegelijkheid in first person echt wel gaat. En het verkennen is altijd vele malen rijker.
Third person zouden ze Tomb Raider en Uncharted te hard moeten bekampen.

Ja dat kan wel tof zijn, maar ik blijf sceptisch.
't Is niet de eerste keer dat een AAA publisher toeren uithaalt met hun dev.
En in Todd Howard heb ik nog minder dan nul vertrouwen.

Ja sorry, ik ben van den 'oude stempel' . In de jaren 90 werden we bedolven onder de 'adventure' games en velen van mijn generatie gebruiken ongetwijfeld die term nog voor de goede oude point and click adventures.

ha, dan ben ik toch niet de enigste. Ik vind dat zo hatelijk dat als ge bij steam search de tag `adventure` gebruikt, ge ook bij shooters en zo terecht komt, terwijl voor mij adventure point and click is .

Ik heb ook lang voor die term geopperd, want nu is 'adventure' gewoon een allegaartje van alle type games.
In feite gaat iedereen zowat elke game 'op adventure'.

Maar ik vind point & click eigenlijk een veel betere term, want in P&C games hoeven ze niet per se op adventure te gaan.
Er kan ook gewoon vanalles gebeuren, of het is hun job (Sam & Max).

(en ik kijk ook met weemoedig hart terug naar de tijden van Broken Sword 2, The Curse Of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones en Day Of The Tentacle )

Bethesda’s Todd Howard has said MachineGames’ Indiana Jones game is a “unique” genre mash-up.
Howard, who’s serving as executive producer on the game, was asked if it will have an action adventure side to it during an interview with the Lex Fridman podcast.

“I would just say it’s a mash-up,” he responded. “It is a unique, it isn’t one thing intentionally, so it does a lot of different things”.

En het team is gegroeid met ex-Starbreeze werknemers, waaronder Riddick-regisseur Jens Andersson, die een goeie 10 jaar geleden al eens door LucasArts werd opgetrommeld voor een Indiana Jones game...

Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness director Jens Andersson has joined MachineGames to lead design on its Indiana Jones game, he’s confirmed to VGC.
In addition, Andersson spent several years at LucasArts around a decade ago, where he was originally hired to work on another cancelled Indiana Jones game.

“This is also redemption. When I accepted the offer to go to San Francisco in 2009, it was to lead the design on an Indiana Jones game, but that game got cancelled before I even got there.
