Aftersun op nummer 1 had ik nooit verwacht maar vind ik zeker geen slechte keuze. Furiosa op 2 vind ik dan wat raarder. Ook serieus van genoten maar wel bizar om deze nog boven Dune te zien eindigen. Everything Everywhere All At Once was mijn persoonlijke nummer 1 dus vanzelfsprekend blij dat deze ook zo hoog scoort in de algemen. Licorice Pizza in de top 100 vind ik persoonlijk de vreemdste toevoeging. PTA heeft enkele van mijn favoriete films gemaakt en ik hoop met zijn nieuwe, One Battle After Another, terug mee te zijn, maar zijn laatste 2 a 3 films deden mij niet zoveel en Licorice Pizza is samen met Phantom Thread voor mij vrees ik zijn minste.

Vond er zelf ook niet veel aan maar gezien de hype, scores en het grote bedrag dat die ophaalde toch opmerkelijk dat Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning afklopte op slechts 48 punten.
Als ik de lijst zo in zn geheel bekijk vind ik dat we daar best trots op mogen zijn. Een goeie mix van mainstream met klasse maar ook meer diepgaande cinema en artfaire. Niet saai en voorspelbaar. Hopelijk helpt dit iedereen wat vooruit met de jacht op parels. Zelfs toch ook weer enkele picks op de watchlist kunnen zetten.

Haha, bij mij eerder omgekeerd, had al best wat problemen om de top over de laatste 5 jaar te beperken tot 100. Over de laatse 25 jaar zou ik liever een top 1000 zien.
Maar geen slecht idee, heb nu de kleinere tops ook al opgenomen in de algemene lijst dus gaan we volgende keer sowieso ook weer doen.

Nee, ik ben mijn watchlist begonnen meer dan 10 jaar geleden gewoon om bij te houden welke films ik al gezien heb en was beginnen aanvinken maar zonder rating te geven. Als ik daar nu nog moet mee beginnen is dat onbegonnen werk.... +2700 films.
