Interview met Michael Moore niet gelezen? Die was serieus al 100 vermoord geweest gewoon door op tv de oorlog in Irak af te keuren had hij geen leger aan bodyguards gehad om hem te beschermen.

In July 2008, the video of the interrogation was ordered to be made available in a Canadian supreme court ruling that stated in part: "Interrogation of a youth, to elicit statements about the most serious criminal charges while detained in these conditions and without access to counsel, and while knowing that the fruits of the interrogations would be shared with the US prosecutors, offends the most basic Canadian standards about the treatment of detained youth suspects."

This 15-year-old boy was taken into custody by the US authorities following a firefight in Afghanistan in September 2002.

All told, tens of millions of dollars have flowed from the C.I.A. to the office of President Hamid Karzai, according to current and former advisers to the Afghan leader.

“We called it ‘ghost money,’ ” said Khalil Roman, who served as Mr. Karzai’s deputy chief of staff from 2002 until 2005. “It came in secret, and it left in secret.”

Eerder was al uitgekomen dat de broer van Karzai - die betrokken is bij de opiumhandel - regelmatig betalingen ontving van de CIA, net als een lid van de entourage van Karzai.
Volgens het artikel wordt een groot deel van het geld dat aan Karzai betaald wordt, gebruikt om andere politici, leiders en warlords om te kopen - ook als die duidelijke banden hebben met drugs en zelfs de Taliban.

Drugs, oorlog, democratie, corruptie: allemaal niet belangrijk, zolang de juiste persoon maar aan de macht is, en beïnvloedbaar is...
