● De Koreaanse reeks "The Silent Sea" verscheen onlangs op netflix. Geen hoogvlieger maar als je er niet al te veel bij nadenkt en je gewoon laat meevoeren door de suspense is het best nog ok.
● Apple+ brengt op 18 februari Severance. Wordt omschreven als een SF thriller.

Robertson-Dworet brings the science fiction and action/adventure credentials, and Wagner brings the comedy, covering two foundations of the Fallout franchise's narrative style.
Robertson-Dworet wrote the screenplays for the superhero movie Captain Marvel and the 2018 Tomb Raider film adaptation. She is also writing a future Star Trek film planned for release in 2023. Wagner is best known as one of the main writers on the sketch comedy series Portlandia and for work on modern sitcoms like The Office, Silicon Valley, and Baskets.
Foundation eindelijk eens gekeken en ik ben echt zwaar fan! Kvond dat dus echt goed. De start was ENORM sterk, daarna was het een tijd gewoon goed en op het einde weer ECHT goed. Het Terminus verhaal was voor lange tijd wel het minst interessant tot het in het 2de deel van het seizoen makkelijk het beste deel was. Het deel van Gaal vond ik van start tot einde echt top. En dan heb je het Empire deel, dat was best goed op een klein saai stukje in het midden waar de set-up voor de twist aan het einde gebeurt.
Waarschijnlijk mag ik blij zijn dat ik de boeken niet gelezen heb Maar dat gaat sowieso eens gebeuren alleszins.
Jep toch ook wel serieus bijgedraaid hier. Kijk uit naar 2e seizoen.
Hun Invasion ga ik ook blijven verdedigen. Begon ook met een slow start en ja misschien iets te veel human interest character build maar de 2e helft ging als een trein imo. Gezien het einde ook zeer benieuwd naar wat het 2e s daarvan gaat brengen.

What is Mickey7?
Mickey7 is an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there's a mission that's too dangerous―even suicidal―the crew turns to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal...and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
On a fairly routine scouting mission, Mickey7 goes missing and is presumed dead. By the time he returns to the colony base, surprisingly helped back by native life, Mickey7's fate has been sealed. There's a new clone, Mickey8, reporting for Expendable duties. The idea of duplicate Expendables is universally loathed, and if caught, they will likely be thrown into the recycler for protein.
Mickey7 must keep his double a secret from the rest of the colony. Meanwhile, life on Niflheim is getting worse. The atmosphere is unsuitable for humans, food is in short supply, and terraforming is going poorly. The native species are growing curious about their new neighbors, and that curiosity has Commander Marshall very afraid. Ultimately, the survival of both lifeforms will come down to Mickey7.
That is, if he can just keep from dying for good.

● Het eerste seizoen was nogal hit en miss en jammer genoeg meer miss maar toch schuif ik aan voor het 2e seizoen. Hopelijk vinden ze nu hun draai. Space Force S2 lanceert 18 Feburarie.
● Alex Garland (Ex Machina, DEVS) wist samen met A24 ons Annihilation voor te schotelen, een bijzonder intrigerende stukje cinema. Hij heeft van A24 weer carte blanche gekregen en nu komt hij met "Civil War". Zoals bij vorige mysterieuze Garland projecten worden er ook nu weer bijzonder weinig details vrijgegeven. Civil War zal zich afspelen in het Amerika van de nabije toekomst en Kirsten Dunst will lead. Garland & A24? Take my money.

● All things Star Trek zijn wederom hernieuwd. Discovery will be coming back for season 5. De Lower Deck ensigns gaan een 3e seizoen geheel onveilige fratsen uithalen en jawel ook Strange New Worlds is hernieuwd voor een 2e seizoen nog voor de eerste aflevering van seizoen 1 het drydock heeft verlaten.
