Manager Willi Weber has signed up the first new multi million dollar sponsor for the post-driving period of Michael Schumacher's career, according to a newspaper.
Bild-Zeitung in Germany reports that Autoteile Unger GmbH (ATU), one of the country's leading auto parts and service businesses, has agreed a three year deal.
According to the tabloid, the ATU contract is worth approximately $7.7m per year.
Additionally, Schumacher's existing personal sponsors DVAG ($3.3m per year), Shell ($2.1m) and watch maker Omega ($1.3m) have extended their contracts with the multiple world champion.
Bild also says that, at the end of 2006, the advertising restrictions imposed on Schumacher by Ferrari will end, which could lead to a raft of other deals for the father of two.
Schumacher flew to Shanghai on Monday.
