Veranderingen op IPoker... Lijkt me wel goed om al die nitty rakeback grinders weg te krijgen.
You may or may not have heard about a pending "rake change" for all iPoker poker rooms on the network.
As you know, BetMost Poker is our home poker room and we are very involved with both iPoker and all changes being made. There are a lot of untrue myths going around about the rake change and we wanted to let you all know directly from the source what is happening.
MYTH: iPoker is taking more rake
FACT: All iPoker rooms will NOT be taking any more rake. Instead, they are making a minor change to which players are contributing to the rake taken. With the old, flawed system, players were given rake even if they did not put any money into the pot. With the new system, players that put money into the pot will share the rake equally.
Of course the new system is better for real poker players. In a nutshell, you will generate fewer raked hands but the rake generated on the hands you DO play will be greater. So, for most players, there will be very little if any change.
MYTH: big players will earn less in rewards
FACT: The rewards you earn with PokerInside and BetMost Poker will not change much, if at all. For the poker rooms that illegally paid RAKEBACK, it's very possible you will earn less from them, since you may generate less rake with the new method. We strongly recommend that you stop playing with illegal rakeback deals and play with our legal loyalty program instead.
MYTH: rake is only generated if you do not fold
FACT: The rake will be distributed evenly to all players that contribute any amount to the pot greater than the small blind size. So, the only players that will NOT generate rake are those who fold prior to the flop.
The rake will now be split evenly between all players that contribute at least the small blind amount to the pot. WHAT DOES THE RAKE CHANGE REALLY MEAN? The change was made by iPoker for one reason only:
To stop the illegal rakeback deals that have been plaguing the network for 2+ years.
Rooms that offer rakeback will now be punished in a huge way, which means a very high risk for poker skins, affiliates and players.
Also, the players that used to fold every hand just to generate rakeback will no longer benefit from doing so. This makes the network a much better place for all of us REAL poker players, because the games will be far less nitty.
WHY IS THE RAKE CHANGE GOOD FOR PLAYERS?
This is a huge improvement for iPoker for the following reasons:
1. Less "Nitty" Games
Before, tables were filled with short-stacked players that would fold almost every hand because they were getting paid rakeback. This hurt the true players that were playing in the hands.
2. More "Loose" Games
More real players means more fish and loose games. You will find far less rakeback grinders now that they won't benefit nearly as much. This is, of course, great for real players.
3. Higher Rewards for REAL Players
With the previous system, other poker rooms had to reward the "nitty" players with more rewards since they were generating more rake. With the new system, real players that play will be rewarded more since they are contributing more to the poker room.
4. More Like Real Poker!
Most importantly, the games on iPoker will be more like real poker in a sense that the players sitting at the table will be doing so to play, not fold every hand!
WHY PLAY ON BETMOST?
For the past two years, we have played the honest, good-guy role on iPoker, instead of offering illegal rakeback deals to our players. We strongly believe that security of your funds and trustability are, by far, the most important characteristics when you choose your home poker room.
