Manchester United's Michael Carrick has been nominated for the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award.
Gareth Bale, Robin van Persie, Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata complete the list.
Bale and Hazard are also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award, with Christian Benteke, Romelu Lukaku, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere.
Bale won the main award aged 21 in 2011, while Van Persie won last year.
Carrick, 31, who joined United from Tottenham in 2006, has been a key figure for the Premier League leaders this season, making 41 appearances.
PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor said: "He is a players' player. He doesn't make big headlines but he is highly regarded by his fellow professionals."
