Norton Internet Security includes the capability to reset your Options password using Windows Add/Remove Programs menu.
To reset your password
Exit all programs.
Do one of the following:
In Windows 98/2000, on the Windows taskbar, click Start > Settings > Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
In Windows Me, on the Windows taskbar, click Start > Settings > Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
If you do not see the Add/Remove Programs icon, first click ...view all Control Panel options.)
In Windows XP, on the Windows taskbar, click Start > Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
If you do not see the Add/Remove Programs icon, then in the left pane, click Switch to Classic View.
Click the entry for your version of Norton Internet Security.
You may need to use the scroll bar to view the entire list.
Depending on your version of Windows, click Add/Remove, Change/Remove, or Change.
Click Reset Password.
Write down the key listed in the first "Reset Password Key" field.
In the second "Reset Password Key" field, type the key that you wrote down in the previous step.
This key is randomly generated, and will change every time you attempt to reset your password for the Norton Internet Security Options menu.
Choose a new password, and type it into the "New password" and "Confirm new password" fields.
Click OK to confirm the password change.
