Alweer een decennium dat op z'n einde loopt, in mijn ogen eentje waar we non-stop kunnen smullen hebben van fenomenale muziek.
Het perfecte excuus dus om in onze pen te kruipen en onze favoriete albums neer te schrijven.

Ik heb ondertussen al 83 albums genoteerd maar de volgorde vergt nog wat denk en schuif werk, al vermoed ik wel dat Kendrick er voor iets tussen zit...

Ben eens snel door mijn Discogs en mijn digitale collectie geweest, ik kan concluderen dat:

- ik veel te veel keuze heb

Moeilijk. Heel moeilijk.

Ik heb me zelden zo diep bedroefd, teneergeslagen en verward gevoeld.

Anyway, ik heb zelf maar een top20 gemaakt, maar zie wel serieus wat albums terugkomen in jullie lijstje, da's wel leuk natuurlijk.

Swans is bij mij de enige repeating artist, en die staat er dan ook drie keer in. Die trilogie is dan ook het beste wat mij dit voorbije decennium is overkomen.

Huh? I literally can't even...

Die trilogie is de reden dat ik elke ochtend uit bed stap. Snap ik echt niet, wordt trouwens toch ook kritisch belachelijk goed onthaald? Zijn live verpletterend goed en die platen zijn steengoed geproduced en gemasterd. Uniek, lang, droney, repetitief, groovy, nihilistisch, gewelddadig en lief, pijnigend en zalvend, overal en altijd en nergens en nooit, met albums die je na 6 maanden op repeat te luisteren nog verrassen bij elke luisterbeurt. Ale mannen. Ik weet dat we hier niet om te discussiëren zijn en des gouts et des colours... Maar dit vind ik toch zeer, zeer opmerkzaam.

Ben er oprecht ni goe van!

Ik ga ook eens een poging wagen om een lijstje te maken, maar dat gaat nog wel even duren denk ik

Ik zou hier eindeloos kunnen blijven doorgaan met albums te verplaatsen, anderen toe te voegen en weer te verwijderen, dus ik ga het hier maar bij houden

Leuke lijst eigenlijk, Obi-Wan, zitten serieus wat platen in die bij mij niet in m'n top 20 staan maar die wel in m'n top 50 zouden staan, zoals Mirror Reaper, Oranssi Pazuzu, Aluk Todolo, Anna Von Hausswolf, Dark Buddha Rising, Pallbearer, King Gizzard, Ufomammut, ...

Vind't wel supercool om Bong te zien op #25, zo'n geweldige band ook. Beyond Ancient Space is ook echt een van hun betere (naast Stoner Rock, die voor mij echt het beste van hun discography is en bij mij op #2 staat).

Ook hier geen Swans vind ik wederom heel raar

Esoteric zal ik ook eens moeten checken, nog nooit van gehoord zelfs.

Die trilogie is de reden dat ik elke ochtend uit bed stap. Snap ik echt niet, wordt trouwens toch ook kritisch belachelijk goed onthaald? Zijn live verpletterend goed en die platen zijn steengoed geproduced en gemasterd. Uniek, lang, droney, repetitief, groovy, nihilistisch, gewelddadig en lief, pijnigend en zalvend, overal en altijd en nergens en nooit, met albums die je na 6 maanden op repeat te luisteren nog verrassen bij elke luisterbeurt. Ale mannen. Ik weet dat we hier niet om te discussiëren zijn en des gouts et des colours... Maar dit vind ik toch zeer, zeer opmerkzaam.

Crazy, Had de naam al enkele malen zien passeren maar dacht altijd dat het generische post metal ging zijn ofzo omdat hun naam zo op Pelican lijkt. Boy, did I judge the book by the cover. Leaving Meaning en The Glowing Man staan al wekenlang op repeat en ik kan al niet wachten om verder terug te gaan in hun discografie, al moet ik nog eens een dag zien te vinden waar ik twee uur tijd heb om ononderbroken naar muziek te luisteren want hun albms zijn fokking laaaang. 22 mei @ AB here I come!
