Nujaz, al die termen zijn feitelijk maar belachelijk, neem nu the klaxons, vandaag las ik in de krant dat het "new rave" is, een mengeling van new wave en gitaarrock...terwijl andere bronnen het gewoon hebben over "new" rave, steunend op de oude rave...ik zou zeggen, luister gewoon naar de muziek die je goed vindt en vergeet al die verschillende soorten termen, het geeft ook nog altijd niet aan of je het juist goed vindt of niet...kotjesdenkers *kots*

De reden waarom ik "post" aanhaal is omdat het een loze term is, en het niks, maar dan ook niks te maken heeft met wat jij aanhaalt. Post wil letterlijk "na" zeggen zoals pre "voor" betekent.
Alle groepen die de "post" stijl spelen zijn allesbehalve vernieuwend of anders te noemen. Post rock bestaat al meer dan 25 jaar, alleen is de benaming nieuw. Post hardcore idem...

Euhm... Onafhankelijk label? Don't think so somehow, het is zoals nu met de gamewereld aan het gebeuren is. EA is een gigant, zij werken met ontwikkelaars maar uiteindelijk zijn die ontwikkelaars allemaal divisies van EA.
In de muziekwereld heb je Sony, en meer dan 80% van die 98% valt gewoon onder Sony bij wijze van spreken. Echte independent labels zoals je vroeger had bestaan quasi niet meer. De industrie weet hoe ze moeten verkopen, en zoals ik ook al eerder zei, het is niet meer dan een marketingtruuk om groepen als "independent" te verkopen.
Even een lange, doch nuttige beschrijving van het "indie" label waar de Kaiser Chiefs bij zitten...

Distribution

Hou er ook rekening mee dat de affiliates, sub contractors, en third parties hier nog niet eens opgesomd worden... Third parties zijn meestal owned parties dus ook daar geen ruimte voor eventuele illusies...
Het is een lange tekst, maar het geeft een beetje een idee. Ik zit hier regelmatig samen met een Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Kooks fan... Hij vindt het goede popmuziek, en die term is nog altijd het meest toepasselijk.
