Meestal vragen ze om een "secure" website te gebruiken, zoals escrow ofzo. Ze hebben dan een fake escrow website met een "overtuigende" url, waar die goedgelovige hun geld droppen. Ze krijgen dan de bevestiging dat de auto is verstuurd van die website, en dat ze hun geld mogen opsturen. Dat gebeurd dan, en de auto komt nooit aan.

Zegt da ge ten eerste als werknemer van de computer crime unit van interpol ne keer een razzia hebt gehouden in een western union bank en da ge daar wa mensen hebt gearresteerd voor ondervraging wegens malafide praktijken.
Hioerdoor vertrouw je deze bankinstelling niet meer.
Ten tweede: Zegt da ge na opzoekingswerk in 1 van de databanken, er bepaalde dingen naar boven zijn gekomen die niet kloppen ivm zijn verblijfplaats en land van inschrijving van de wagen
-> Vraag hem ook eens waarom hij naar een belgische keuring gaat, terwijl zijn wagen in frankrijk is ingeschreven? En dat hij woont in de UK. Zegt da ge momenteel hiernaar een onderzoek aant starten zijt.
