FEDERATIONS & ROSTERS - AN OVERVIEW

Hi guys.
I figured that after seeing some of the outdated and underqualified posts about Federations and Rosters, I should post here to fill everyone in on them a little bit more. I have been a GM now for over 6 months, and am also one of the GM leaders, so I feel I can cover this quite well.
1. How do I join a federation?
To join a federation you must be a level 5 wrestler (or level 4 with supporter).
Once you are qualified to join a roster, you need to contact a GM (General Manager) requesting a contract. This can be either through a quick mail, or by posting in the federations section of this forum,
If you contact the GM directly, they will probably want to know your stats including fan numbers, your entrance levels, and most importantly (with the good feds anyway) they may request a small roleplaying example so that they can see you are going to contribute to the show with promos and interview materials etc.
2. How do I know if a Federation has spaces?
A. Federations can only have a maximum of 50 wrestlers.... so please do not harass GM's if you can see that they have full rosters.... as you will not be allowed in! Look around for smaller rosters.
3. Why should I Join a Federation? What are the Advantages?
Every time a person appears on a show, they will recieve a number of fantaeuros based on their contract type. They will also increase (or sometimes) decrease their popularity and fans... which in turns brings in more money through merchandising after appearances on shows as well! Most importantly though, joining a Federation can be fun, and you will meet a whole host of new friends and interesting characters that will ultimately make the game more enjoyable!
4. What are the contracts that can be offered?
A GM can offer a set amount of the following contract types... and each one of them brings more fantaeuros the higher contract you get. Be aware though, that as income is based on ticket sales, you can have a low contract in a very highly rated fed and receive more money than being on the best contract in a low rated fed.
(1) Jobber 0.875% of a shows ticket income.
(2) Mid Carder 1.75% of a shows ticket income
(3) Main Eventer 2.65% of a shows ticket income
(4) Star 3.5% of a shows ticket income
(5) Super Star 4.35% of a shows ticket income
(6) Legend 5.25% of a shows ticket income
5. Can the GM give everybody great contracts??
The GM only has a set number of each contract type, and so it is unlikely you will get a top contract if the fed is already nearly full.
6. What is the Merchandise bonus?
Every superstar will receieve a merchandise bonus for their federation appearances.... this can range from 25% to 75%. The higher this percentage is, the more money you wil recieve.
7. How long are contracts?
Contracts can range from 2 weeks through to 12 weeks, and GM's can choose any of these lengths for each and every superstar on their rosters.
8. What are the appearances in the contract?
When you sign a contract, the GM offers you a number of appearances a month as guaranteed. This figure ranges from 2 to 4, and the GM has to ration these carefully as he only gets a set amount per month. Therefore, whilst some people will get 4 appearances a month, this has to be conterbalanced and so others just get 2.
9. What are the Federation Leagues & How can I see them??
Federational leagues are run, and each season lasts for 8 shows (4 weeks). To view the leagues, simply click on the federations button and you will see a full list of the different leagues. You can then go further in depth by viewing each league and its current positions.
10. When do I get paid for my appearances?
Usually you will be paid the day AFTER the show onbce everything has been updated... dont panic folks this always happens and you will get a mail about it detailing your salary for the show!
11. How do I watch the live show?
Watching the live shows can be great fun, and it is very simple to do so. Simply click on the 'Federation' button and all live shows are listed down the right hand side. Simply click on the one you wish to watch!
12. I Missed the live show..... can I watch a replay?
Of course you can. Simply click into 'Federations' and then click on the small Calendar Icon... this will show you a complete list of EVERY SINGLE SHOW SINCE THE VERY FIRST SEASON!
13. Can I be in more than 1 roster at once?
NO! You can only be in one roster for the length of your contract. You cannot start looking around to join other federations when you already have a deal... this is regarded as cheating in many ways, and GM's are actually demoted from their status if they try and talk to players who already have contracts elsewhere! Dont do it folks!!!
I really want to leave my Roster... can I do it?
Yes... you can leave your roster, but you must either (a) ask your GM for a free breach of contract, or (b) breach the contract yourself and face a 2 week period of being unemployable.
Who decides who wins in Federation matches
The game engine comes up with the results in Federations, but a GM can change this by editing it if he wishes. I personally do not change results as I think it is unfair, but it can happen as the GM's nopw have the power to alter matches.
