Ik heb onlangs via steam CS:GO gekocht voor mijzelf en daar heb ik geen problemen mee. Kort daarop koop ik CS:Go nogmaals als gift voor een vriend van mij (paypal).
Nu krijgt hij de mail toe met activatielink, maar hij kan het niet spelen. Hij moet blijkbaar 30 dagen wachten volgens steam omdat mijn account niet actief is geweest de laatste tijd. Vind ik heel vreemd.
Via support kreeg ik dit antwoord:
Thank you for contacting Steam Support. If you are interested in purchasing a subscription for someone as a gift but do not want it delivered until a later date, please do the following: - Log in to your own Steam account. - Add the game you would like to give as a gift to your cart and select the option “Purchase as a Gift”. - In the Gift Delivery screen, choose the last option under ‘Keep it for Later’ that allows you to store the gift in your inventory to send later. - When you are ready to send your gift, please log in to your Steam account and go to "Games" (in the top menu bar of the Steam interface), then select "Manage Gifts & Guest Passes". - From this menu, you should see the gift subscription which can then be resent to any Steam account or e-mail you choose. The recipient should then receive an e-mail to redeem this gift. At this time, we do not offer Steam gift certificates. However, we do accept Visa/Mastercard gift cards to make purchases on Steam. This is another viable option for future gift purchases. If you have any further questions, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you

Dat heb ik dus gedaan en toch moet mijn vriend nog 30 dagen wachten om het spel te kunnen spelen ....
Did I do anything wrong?
