Another Bigfoot Myth?
It is said by some players that Rockstar Games has put another Bigfoot in another open world game. While the myth is unlikely, as it could simply be a Bear standing up or a simple prank, some players have stated it was no bear and walked like a human character. Still the bigfoot myth is unlikely and most likely a prank, but it is possible it may be a real myth. If the myth is not a prank, it would be the 3rd Rockstar Games Myth that has been in more then one game, and the first to be in two different video game franchises.
Others claim the creature they've seen in the woods of the game isn't a "Bigfoot" but rather only what they can describe as a "Werewolf". Similar to the Bigfoot description, it is also around 7 to 8 feet tall, but where the accounts differ is that it's reported to be extremely fast (several times that of 3 star horse breeds), slender in appearance, as well as it can recieve an unseen amount of punishment with several reports claiming to have shot at it several times with all variation of weapons with no success in killing it. Including several shots from the Buffalo Rifle (Which is one of the most powerful weapons in the game) failing to kill the creature.
Where accounts vary in consistency is that half of all report claim to have been killed by the beast literally within seconds of spotting it (if even spotting it in time before attack) due to its reported in all accounts tremendous speed. These reports support the possibilty that the creature is either equal or superior in dealing damage to that of a Grizzly, which in turn supports the sceptics claim that it is a Grizzly in a Horse/Wolf/Cougar skin animation glitch (which have been reported in different variation on different AI). But witnesses (both those who have been attacked and only witnessed the beast) claim that it moves with such speed that it is impossible to be the lumbering Grzzly, as they claim it exceeds the fastest horses in the game in speed several times over. Whilst other accounts claim to have not been threatened by the creature but to have only seen the beast briefly before it rapidly retreats out of view amongst the tree-line and ridges of the forrest, of which some have chased after on horseback to only not be able to keep up with its pace and some claim even have shot rounds at it to no avail (both in Dead-Eye and out).
Where all report are similar is that they all claim to have witnessed the creature at night in a small north-western part of the map in an area in the snow covered forrest part of 'Tall Trees' close to 'Nekoti Rock'. Not on the rock itself or trail but all claim it was within a small identified section of forrest (close to where the dynamite packers are found in single player if you continued south-west). What is interesting is unlike other RockStar games where the Moon cycle changes over a period of nights, in 'Red Dead Redemption' the Moon swaps between all its cycle as the night progresses. And if Werwolf folklore is a basis for when the sightings will take place, then every night is a possible encounter, with every night having a Full-Moon present at some stage in the night.
Evidence present varies from first and second had accounts to inconclusive screen-shot photos which are either of a far to poor quality or questionable authenticity to be taken as admissible proof. As well as some statements have been presented to support some of these claims from some of the games apperent developers, but these statements are either of questionably debatable origin and authenticity or far to vague in meaning to be used as evidence of paranormal presences within the game. Although Rockstar representatives have mention clearly on several occasions that there is, "Something unusual in the game." Now whether this statement refers to any of the aformentioned myths, that is is unclear.
The last myth is the "Tumbleweed is Haunted" myth, basically some players have reported seeing ghosts and hearing whisper like sounds at night in the Tumbleweed Mansion and Saloon. It is however possible the Tumbleweed myth may just be jokes, as it is also said in a newspaper that it's haunted, though there have been various video's that go do against that statement.
