PSN DOWN INDEFINITELY

Sony's having a tough time right now, as the online network that the PlayStation 3 runs on, PSN, has been under attack by hackers for the last four or so days.
Earlier today, Sony gave up on a quick fix, and has instead updated their blog to let its users know that a major rebuild is going to have to happen before PSN goes back online.
All this likely started as the anarchic online group Anonymous - who has previously had more political targets - put Sony in their sights for the lawsuits Sony has filed against people modifying the PS3's firmware. It remains to be seen whether this is just another instance of the "LOIC" tool for distributed attacks that Anonymous has used before, or whether someone got lower-level access to Sony's servers, but at this point, PS3 gamers simply can't get online until Sony figures out how to bring PSN back online.
