First Person Shooters: I can see implementing hand gestures and signals similar to these
http://www.airsoftgent.be/dbase/hands.htm To communicate to your team to hold or move out.
And one I just thought of right now, Looking behind cover. Now a game like Rainbow Six won't have to take to a third person view for a covering system, and more first person shooters can take a Killzone approach, when behind cover you can simply lean slightly to the left or right (this can be done sitting or standing) and watch your character lean out the side of cover.
Weapon selection. Call which weapon you want to change to without having to shuffle them. Switching between thermal, night, normal vision goggles in some games, whether through gesturing over your head, or voice commands. Tossing grenades... or in a game like Splinter Cell where you can throw empty bottles/magazine clips to distract your enemies you can signal it and depending how hard you throw it will go further.
Imagine a game like Bioshock where you can control your telekinesis with the motion of your hands, that would be awesome.
I think FPS will be the most difficult, it would have to be implemented in more subtle ways.
Role playing Games: This I think could be a ton of fun. First thing that came to mind, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Being able to do the shield motion and sword motion with your arms would probably be very entertaining.
As mentioned before the dialogue could be enhanced.
a sprint feature could be included. where you can maybe use a controller still for doing a regular walk or jog, but if you wanted to, you could sprint in place for a short period of a quick run, and maybe even jump in place following, for a long jump type of effect.
Opening doors... being offensive and pushing or shoving people, or being nice and giving them a high five, pat on the back, or thumbs up. Things like this could effect your Good/Evil Meter (can't think of the name of those things currently)
Guitar Hero: Continue to play the game as normal with the Controller, however my band character on screen conforms to my actions when I play. You could pretend to smash the guitar on the ground after the song and your character would actually smash it on screen. You could do a feaux leap as the lead singer in rock band and your character would crowd surf. Not stuff that sells me on buying the Natal, but an enhancement to current controller based games. I further read somewhere else a brilliant idea where you could scan a guitar, it could recognize both the strings your plucking and holding as well as the sounds your making and actually help teach you how to play a real instrument, along with on screen instruction which can be programmed to appear when you make a certain mistake.
RTS: In a game like civilization, halo wars, or Command and conquer, using voice commands like "zoom in" telling the system the item you want built, stating "base camp" or some predetermined term that returns the view to spot on the battlefield. Using your hand to pull the screen in various directions. Controller's in RTS games limit your ability to control rather than enhance it, I think their is a lot of potential in this genre.
Street Fighter (2d Fighters): Actually pretending to throw a fireball and watching it apprear on screen. Mimicking actions rather than doing insane button combos. Fatalities on mortal combat where I reach out with my hand and pretend to rip out somebody's heart and it does it on screen.
Golf: Could you imagine setting up a space in your living room, room permitting, where you could scan in a golf club, take full swings where it could measure the speed of your swing and also extimate the angle of yoru club face based on some striking point on the ground. Putting where it actually gauges the speed of your putter. You could play a full round of simulated 18 holes in the winter that actually could help you improve your swing.
Football: drop back in the pocket as a quarterback where your view on screen of which wide receiver your aiming at changes based on the direction of your head. A simple throwing motion with the ball would throw the ball to whatever receiver your looking at. Once you catch the ball the scren could change to a more first person point of view where you could stiff arm tacklers, do spin moves, juke left or right, hurdle. You wouldn't need to be running for the character on screen to be running, all you would need is set up an area on the ground where if your in a certain zone your player moves forward, another zone yoru player doesn't move forward, and another where your player moves backgrounds. Changing the zone by stepping forward or backward will set you in motion then you could use your juke moves while in the forward zone to hopefully make tacklers miss while your player continues to run while you don't have to be running. Defense would be a lot more difficult to use this with. But the game would definitely change into more of controlling a single player versus the whole team. It may even fun to be an offensive lineman where you have to counter various rushing techniques of the defensive line, with the camera focused on your individual matchup.
RPG: Conversations with NPC's where they judge you on your facial recognition or voice inflections where they are more friendly or hostile to you based on your demeanor. Games like Diablo or something where casting different sorts of spells would be made easier due to voice commands and some sort of hand signal to unleash the types of magic.
These are just some of my initial thoughts. Ideally I would like to get this just so I can voice activate my xBox, it turns on, recognizes who I am, I can say "netflix" then say "Top Gun" and it will laod that movie from my qeue, all without needing a controller. I can say "Facebook" and it will take me to that part of the xbox live menu where I can speak or type the thought I want to tweet.
