Voor wie dit graag wil :

Eight main areas make up the territory between the West Moria Gate and Balin's Tomb; the tomb being near the end of the second chapter. As you start, you'll have four characters in your party: Hadhod (Dwarf,) Idrial (Elf,) Elegost (Ranger) and Berethor (protagonist and Gaurd of Gondor.)

The chapter starts with a bang. Actually, it's more of a splash, seeing as how you need to fight the Water Watcher just to enter West Moria. The Water Watcher was that giant squid-like monster that nearly ate Pippin in the movie. But then, it was Pippin's own fault for throwing rocks in the lake and disturbing the Water Watcher's sleep. Anyway, winning the fight takes time because you can only use long-range attacks such as magic spells and arrows.

A winning strategy: use Hadhod's stone shield spell to protect Idrian; you'll need her healing abilities to survive the fight. Use Elegost to cast Aimed Shot and Creature's Bane over his volley of arrows every time he fires. This should incur 330+ points of damage while a critical should take around 500+. Although the Water Watcher is a water-based enemy (obviously,) use Idrian's water attack for another 300+ hit attack. Once the "Perfect" skill mode is activated, use the Arrow Volley attack to cause 1,500+ damage. Nice!

Once the Water Watcher takes enough damage, he gets all panicky and busts open the gates to Moria. Our band of heroes then proceeds into Moria. Hadhod thinks he'll get to see all of his Dwarf buddies in the mining city of Moria. Unfortunately, he walks in to discover his family and friends have been lying dead for years. In fact, each dwarf corpse has like a dozen arrows sticking out of it. Understandably, Hadhod flips out and swears vengeance. Idrian promises to help him.

The party finally makes their way into the darkened halls of Moria. You're objective here is to find seven runes scattered throughout the immense network of caves. Proceeding north pits you against water watcher again in a flooded hall. Use same technique to win. Only this time, you'll gain all sorts of booty including new armor pieces. Keep heading north through the hall and climb through stone steps to head further into Moria. You'll keep running north through a narrow cave to exit in an enormous smoke-filled cavern filled with decaying wooden structures; remnants of a dead civilization.

Save your game before crossing over the bridge leading to the other end of the cavern. You'll be attacked before reaching the other end. Work your way around the large abyss into another narrow cave, slaughtering orcs and goblins as you go.
Once you exit the cave, you'll stand in front of a massive stone stairway strewn with beaten up furniture and dead bodies. Collect the ruins (and all the booty) found on both sides of the stair case then work your way toward the top. You'll soon reach a fork in the road leading to three separate caves. This is the exact spot where Gandalf gets lost in The Fellowship of the Ring.

We entered the left one first. Go through another creepy cave to emerge in a large room. Directly ahead is a save point. To the left of the save lies a staircase leading down. You'll notice a stone slab in the middle of the room—the righteous beam of light striking it from the heavens lets you know it's quite important.

Unfortunately, you need to collect all seven ruins before anything special will happen. Run back the way you came to reach the fork in the road. Time to head down cave #2 (the one furthest to the right.) It leads to several staircases ultimately leading to a fiery pit.

Not to mention another rune and a fire shield. Reaching a specific part in the cave triggers a cutscene. In a great example of how the movie and game intersect, you'll hear Gandalf scolding Pippin (or is Mary?) for knocking down the suit of armor down a chute. Also, you can actually see the armor fall into the abyss and awaken Balrog, a demon "from the ancient world." It crawls out of the fiery deep and crumbles a nearby bridge, blocking your path. After the cutscene, prepare for a hard fight as five goblins jump you simultaneously.

You'll need to grab the ruins and make your way back out of the furnace and toward the fork again. Head down the middle one. Cross a skinny platform to find a chamber with a throne. In the center of the room is Moria's Book of Secrets. Idrian can read the text but can't find a way into a secret room.

Hadhod quickly puts her in her place, stating they need the cunning mind of a dwarf to solve the riddle. He walks up to the throne and pushes it, opening the secret passageway. You'll walk past more dead bodies as you investigate two chambers. The party soon stumbles upon the 3rd Age Dwarven Steel Walking Axe. The massive weapon increases Hadhod's attack power tremendously.

WTF is hier de bedoeling van? Als mensen dit nodig zouden hebben, zullen ze het zelf wel opzoeken.
