Dear Beta Tester,



The follow-up to one of the most critically acclaimed first-person shooters of 2009, Killzone®3, picks up where Killzone®2 left off – delivering new weapons and enemies, larger set pieces and environments, more varied missions, and a whole new level of intense cinematic action. In the Beta you will get a taste of the multiplayer mode, including the all-new ‘Operations’ game type, party system and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles.



The aim of the Beta Trial is threefold:

- To collect your feedback

- Identify bugs, cheats and exploits

- To have fun!



This is your chance to help us improve the game!



Pre-Event Tasks



1. Download Killzone®3 Beta.



a) Download Killzone 3.
Please use the following steps in order to download Killzone 3:

a. Sign in with your PLAYSTATION Network Account on your PLAYSTATION 3.

b. Select [Account Management] on the XMB™ interface located under the ‘PLAYSTATION®Network’ tab.

c. Select [Transaction Management] and click on the option ‘Redeem PLAYSTATION®Network Card or Promotion Code’.

d. Enter the following unique code to start the download of Killzone 3:

b) Set up your PLAYSTATION 3 for the online test.
In order to play Killzone 3, your PLAYSTATION 3 console does not have to be set up with a specific DNS address. As such, you can leave the DNS option in your network settings on “Automatic” or on the settings that you have set up for your internet connection.

c) PLAYSTATION®Network required to play Killzone 3.
In order to play Killzone 3, you will be required to be signed in with your PLAYSTATION Network account. You can sign in before you start the game by selecting [PLAYSTATION®Network] -> [Sign In] via the XMB interface. Alternatively, you can sign in once you have started the game. Please sign in when the PLAYSTATION 3 asks you to.



2. Play the game to generate website user data.

However, before you can access the website, you have to play at least one round of Killzone®3. This will generate the necessary user data for your profile on *


Event Nights & Feedback



The Public Beta Trial will start on Tuesday the 26th of October.



We’ve scheduled a series of event nights, which focus on various aspects of the Killzone®3 multiplayer mode. You are expected to participate in these event nights as much as possible and leave feedback after every event. All event nights will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 20:00 UK time and 22:00 UK time.



Please visit the forums for the latest information about the Killzone®3 Beta, such as the Event Night schedule, how you’ll be able to provide feedback to the development team, and submit bug reports.



Outside of the event nights, we encourage you to play together with other participants freely and would appreciate it if you could post your feedback from these games in the Beta.Killzone.com forums.



Surveys

Surveys will be made available on the Beta.Killzone.com forums throughout the Beta Trial. We would appreciate it if you could complete these both during the event nights and in your own time.
