General info:
Sektor gaming will be holding tournaments for a wide range of games over next week. These will start on monday and finish on sunday. On Christmas eve and Chrismas day there won't be any tournaments held so everebody can have some rest. We will try to reach out to as many games as possible according to the amount of available admins. There will be more than 1 game a night.
This will all be held to support the action: Music for Life organized by Studio Brussel and Rode Kruis: West Vlaanderen.
To sign up for these tournaments we will be asking a small donation of €1 per team per cup they are attending. If you want to donate a higher amount of money you are always welcome. Please keep in mind all the money goes to charity integrally and Sektor Gaming won't keep any of it for own profits!
About Music for Life:
Music for Life is an action held by the Belgian radio station Studio Brussel and the Belgian first aid organization Rode Kruis: West Vlaanderen. The action is there to help the people in foreign countries who do not have the needs to protect themselves from a malaria illness. These people can easily be helped by handing out mosquito nets that will protect them from getting bitten. These nets only cost €5 but the people there don’t have the money to buy them. So you can save a life by doing what you love. In our case: GAMING!
We are signed up as an official partner to the program and therefore we are bound to rules. These rules involve that all the money goes to: “Rode Kruis: West Vlaanderen” who are the people who are going to distribute the nets to all the people.
The title is in dutch and means don't abandon the world. Though if you speak dutch there a lot more connections you can make.
Gaming for Life:
The games that are confirmed we will be supporting are:
Call of Duty 2 (5v5)
Call of Duty 4 (5v5)
Call of Duty 6 (5v5)
Counterstrike: Source (5v5)
Team Fortress 2 (6v6)
Enemy Territory (6v6)
All the admins currently are people from Sektor Gaming who are prepared to put some time and effort into this. Please be patient to get help. We will try to support everybody as soon as possible but a great part of the admins currently is learning for their exams and is therefore not always available. Please try to take that in mind and role with the spirit of Christmas.
