Funcom has heard the complaints of fans about a lack of content after level 55 and is attempting to rectify that with Ymir's Pass, a level 55 zone where a frozen giant is chained underneath, periodically causing zone-wide earthquakes. Funcom is saying the zone will be filled with quests, and you can eventually enter a level 61+ dungeon to confront the giant, though Funcom wouldn't say what happens when you finally meet him. On the way down to where he's chained up, you'll have to deal with Gauntlet-style enemy-spawning portals, meaning the structures will just keep spitting out mobs until they're destroyed.

More level 80 group content is also in the works, including a level 80 dungeon in Thunder River and a massive social group dungeon called the House of Crom, in which multiple groups of players can exist at once.

The long-awaited PvP update is also in the works, where Funcom is planning on adding PvP levels and PvP-specific gear rewards. In addition, there'll be a system whereby killing low-level players will get you branded as a criminal and eventually a murderer, causing you to get tossed out of cities and branding anyone who interacts with you as a criminal as well.

Then, finally, there are the DX10 features, which include HDR lighting, better shadows, physics on grass that reacts to walking and spell-casting, trees that bend in the wind, a radial blur effect on fatalities, volumetric fog, and improved underwater effects and reflections. Some of these graphical features will also be available in DX9 mode as well.

nice :)
