Valve Software boss Gabe Newell has slagged off PS3 calling it "a waste of every-body's time" in a latest attack on the console.
"Investing in the Cell, investing in the SPE gives you no long-term benefits. There's nothing there that you're going to apply to anything else. You're not going to gain anything except a hatred of the architecture they've created", Newell told Edge magazine.
creative director of Ubisoft Montreal, this week had some rather harsh words for the Sony PlayStation 3. During an E3 workshop, Hocking described his disappointment in Sony copying technology from other consoles instead of being a design innovator. He also commented on graphics versus gameplay,
“The truth is the PS3’s tools and the way it works just sucks. The truth is they are both virtually the same in terms of hardware when it comes to how powerful they are, maybe the PS3 has a few different things that makes it a bit more advance, and Sony has this idea that it is designed for optimal development but that’s a load of crap. In the last generation we would make the game for PS2 and then port it over to Xbox, but because Xbox was easier to develop for, we could actually enhance the title a little if we wanted to.
Carmack speaks on bringing the games to multi-console setups. Remarks that "If something goes wrong, it's going to be on the PS3." He comments that he knows people flame him for saying it, but that it's still true. Microsoft takes far less memory space internally than PS3 does (a mere fraction of the amount),

PlayStation 3 gives more theoretical power, but what is going to matter is delivering on the games. I do believe that Sony has made a less optimal decision than Microsoft from the perspective of a game developer,”
“Microsoft chose to have symmetrical CPUs, have less of them, but you can program them in a same way. […] If you want anything to work on the Cell, you have to break it into small nuggets of work, you have to work different compilers, different chain of tools,”

By contrast, all of Rage's content will fit onto just one of the high-capacity Blu-ray discs used by the PlayStation 3. However, Carmack shut down many Sony loyalists' blooming braggadocio by saying that while the Blu-ray disc is clearly his preferred medium, the 360 is a superior piece of hardware for developers.
Hell even firm Sony Supporter Hudson say

Hudson: PS3 development too expensive
No full PS3 games from Bomberman company
Hudson has ruled out developing and publishing full PS3 games, due to the development costs on Sony’s format being too high.
Speaking to Yahoo Japan (translation here), Hudson’s president Michihiro Ishizuka ruled out making any full PS3 games, due to the high development costs and associated risks of developing for the format.
While this will undoubtedly be something of a disappointment for PS3 owners, given the developer-publisher’s recent games, it’s not overly surprising.
Although the company has developed a few full 360 games in the form of (the admittedly dire) Bomberman Act: Zero, Fuzion Frenzy 2 and JRPG Far East of Eden, its focus has predominantly lay with the Wii and DS.
Maar ja, jij als fanatieke ps3 fanboy weet het weer allemaal beter; juist ja
