Insurgency Game Recruiting
Hi,
I'm a staffmember from Insurgency, a modern infantry combat game.
Insurgency is currently in full production and is build on the Source Engine, the core technology behind Half-Life 2.
Our website is located at http://www.insurgencymod.net,
where you can find all the information you need about Insurgency, including features, FAQ and media.
Insurgency currently has a very talented, experienced and dedicated team running the show.
Some worked on highly successful projects such as Day of Defeat for Half-Life (www.dayofdefeat.net),
Red Orchestra for Unreal Tournament 2004 (www.redorchestramod.com),the German Front for Call of Duty (www.germanfrontmod.de)
and Desert Combat for Battlefield 1942 (www.desertcombat.com)
Below, you can find some media samples that we recently released.
However, there is a lot of material that we did not released publicly yet, due to being in-game work in progress.
Our work is always being updated by our art team as we continue to perfect the visuals of the game.
We have also released a couple sound demos featuring the work that was developed by the Insurgency sound team.
Sound Demo: "The Storm"
Sound Demo: "Inbound Raid"
We're currently still looking for another talented coder to fill in our team.
Now that Insurgency is in full-development, we are seeking dedicated, hard working individuals that possess a keen interest in the concept of the project; who are able to work at a rapid pace. If you feel that you meet these requirements, and find Insurgency compelling, please contact me. Insurgency is a free total conversation of the game Half-Life 2, so obviously we can't offer you any money.
Insurgency already has a very talented team and a large community (3000 forum members already) supporting it. But any help from a talented someone is very welcome. We truly hope we could work together in the near future and share our knowledge in order to create an outstanding gaming experience for the Half-Life 2 community.
Things on Insurgency are overall speeding up and we're approaching deadlines. IR4 (Internal Release) is out on April 31st, and that is when real internal testing will begin. We're going to be putting up a few dedicated servers (Thanks to PlayZen and GotFrag). We also might start putting some beta testers on the team - hand-selected ones but we wont be taking beta testing applications until after IR5.
We decided recently that we are going to release as early as possible. What we plan on doing now is releasing to exactly what we planned on before, except less content. We want to get our gameplay out there to you guys to try, and we don't need to go overboard if we want to do this. So the plan has evolved into an earlier release (call it a demo). During the time in between, we will be able to recieve feedback from the community so that we can make our first real beta really kickass and featureful.
This is why we're looking for another coder to fill in our team.
