oke, het linux probleem is nie opgelost, ma het ligt nie aan linux instaleren, mensen die vb windows xp hebben staan en vb de 64 bit er willen opzetten krijgen hetzelfde probleem namelijk: steekt de opstartschijf in, reboot en dan staat er: warning: line A20 already enabled, en dan kutn eg niks meer doen, nu heb ik er wa over opgezocht en schijnt da meerde mensen dit probleem hebben, ma ik heb nergens echt een oplossing zien staan...
ik hoop dat iemand mij kan helpen!

A20 was the most significant address line on very old computers which enabled them to access memory above 1M. Now it still used by Himem.sys and Emm386 to emulate EMS memory and access to HMA (High Memory Area). In MS-DOS by default Himem.sys activate A20 line only if it wasn't already activated. If it was activated it just leave it as it is and give you the warning you've mentioned before. I think the same situation is with DR-DOS. Some old computers (286 and 386) in CMOS had the option to enable/disable A20 line. If you have such computer try to disable A20 in CMOS.
