This is just a bit of Tech I have found out all by myself and thought I should share this with you.
I disabled the Aero a few weeks ago and used the windows 98 look (Classic) to see if I could speed up my graphics, if it did, it's not distinguishable to the naked eye. But I had forgotten what I did so I searched the Net for advice as where to find Aero on my system.
It turned out that I wasn’t the only one looking for this problem. On the MS site one post said “If you’ve updated your Graphic Card get in touch with that manufacturer and ask them to solve it for you!” well more or less this was the Microsoft help. Some just needed to restart their computer.
I visited about ten sites but no fix to be found. So I searched my system to fix it myself. And I did.
This is how:
Go to Services ..... (Start button, type [services] (no brackets) in the run screen and hit [enter].
If you don’t have the run screen active. Hit START / Control Panel / Admin. Tools / Services
Find [Desktop Window Manager Session Manager] in the list
Restart the service with link left of the list
Scroll down the list to [Themes]
And you will notice it's off
Just turn it back on with the Start the service
And you’re done!!
Bye
