HOBO (M-NUS)
Joel first connected with electronic music through Kraftwerk who in turn stimulated his interest in the rich techno landscape just a stone’s throw away. He was soon hooking up for laptop jam sessions with Adam Young after high school and the pair gradually evolved into Tractile. Richie Hawtin soon got wind of the potential and suddenly the prospect of a Minus release was on the table. For an 18-year-old kid this was mind-blowing and a deal was eventually struck at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2005. Tractile’s Silent Movie EP on Minus was a memorable affair of action packed tunes that hurtled forward, effortlessly shifting from rough angular beats to flowing, floor-friendly grooves at the flick of a switch. After relocating to Berlin, spending a whirlwind 13 months touring Europe, soaking up the city’s electric atmosphere and collecting invaluable experience, Joel felt the constant traveling around, from show to show seemed to be disrupting the collaborative process.
It’s a deeply personal, exploratory approach to the creative process built on the belief that the more you put yourself into the music, the greater the chance the listener will get something meaningful out. The result is a collection of individual, almost stand-alone tracks defined by perception and experience.
JPLS (M-NUS)
JPLS' analog attitude is stripped down amongst the ever-growing digital landscape of expanding sound fields. Recording as JPLS with recent net releases on Clever and Redevice he made his first Minus appearance on 2006's 'min2MAX' compilation also performing live in Detroit in May for the 'min2MAX' launch showcase. Jacobs' sound falls into a range of dub-punched techno while under the minimal aesthetic from the top down. His mode of procedure emphasizes the cerebral effects of 'less is more' and works with precision versus surrounding his sound with clutter.
ASR
ASR started his love for music at the early age of 4. Discovering little by little what frequencies could do with the body-mind symbiosis, he evolved to become a synth- and bassplayer in several blues, funk & psycho rock projects. Influenced by the great vibes from the Delta, from the African woods, the cities of Rajasthan & the seatowns of Bali. The cadanz has still the same mother. Free & impulsive, pure & direct. As a live act, ASR drives it even deeper, based on his resolute relation with the multiverse. Ready for every moment on the floor, ASR enjoys the true fact of action/interaction with the audience. Everything is energy. Everything is vibration. Everything resonates. So it does everywhere & always.
Jens Holmes
dj, producer, known from Nightcode, Urgent.fm, Decadance, 10daysoff,.....
Tom Dazing
Young producer Tom Dazing got hooked on music at an early age, he developed an interest in a wide spectrum of music styles, but consumed by the strength, power and instinctive structure of techno, that music would control him up to now.
In 2006 his debut EP on Toys For Boys records immeditately blasted its way into the playlist of several a-list dj's worldwide. The unique blend of pumping minimal techno with huge influences of oldskool chicago and acidhouse landed him a release on Marco Bailey's MB Selektions in that same year. Soon followed by releases on Andre Crom's Heimatmelodie imprint, PsyTox' label Coincidence, and again MB Selektions where his track "Octopussy" scorched the feet of dancefloor punters all over the globe.
Gols
Gols has always considered music as his muse. Without it life would be a mistake. His musical road began taking shape during the late 90’s, where he played some unforgettable gigs at several banging clubs in Belgium (Club 007, Monroe’s, Factory, La Rocca, Forest Pump, Pulse Factory..)
Soon his residency at Intenze and SeSSioN came along. He began creating his own cultivating style and doing so he made the crowd on the dance floor feel an overwhelming flow of happiness surrounding them. Places where Gols caused a lot of ear-damage: Forest Festival,Klankwerk, U60311 (Frankfurt), Summer Session, Waterfront, Make Up Club, Club Mosa, Cafe D'Anvers, Minimanimal, .....
Deejames
Deejames has been spinning records and loving vinyl for quite a while now. He started off at Decadance Ghent with and eternal love for House music and all the elements surrounding it (Deep House, MinimalHouse, DiscoHouse..)
He has a residency at Make Up Club, Push It, Wild Family and Inborn. He spinned at every banging self respecting club in Belgium and recently Deejames and Prinz elevated Studio 80 in Amsterdam. He has shared the decks with Derrick Carter, Gene Farris, Nathan Coles, Darren Roach, Gaiser, Osunlade, Matthew Styles, Dinky, Nick Curly, Raoul, Ken from ECB…
