Concept:
For the summer edition, Beats of Love is moving again to the coast: to a special and cosy place, the Casino Kursaal at Ostend. The place where it all began with a first and smashing edition with Dr. Lektroluv. Since then Beats of Love has become one of Belgium’s most popular electro events and they continue to build on this reputation. For this edition Beats of love will join forces with La Nuit Events, the undisputed leading nightlife force in Ostend.
The last two years Beats of Love has invited a lot of big national and international guests on their dance floor. Names like Tiefschwarz, Tocadisco, Alex Gopher, Les Petits Pilous, Mason and many others, brought crazy, twisted and refreshing electro in all its form and colours. The line-up for this summer edition is a mix of a Dutch and several Belgian dj’s. Because our experience has learnt, that you don’t always have to look far, to find the best talents!
With the warm and sweaty temperatures of summer, a sea breeze and view over the ocean, we can guarantee the beats of love are going to flow!
The first guests for the evening are Buffalo Beats, the dj-performance of the Belgian beat bastards, The Subs. With their song ‘Kiss my Trance’ that lights every dance floor on fire and became a big hit, The Subs made their entry in the music business. Now they are taking clubs all over the world by storm with their album ‘Subculture’. Next to their lives, they also transform themselves into turntable wizards called the Buffalo Beats. They will bring you a raw mix of techno and electro with a lot of throw-your-hands-in-the-air capacity!
As a second guest for this summer edition, Beats of Love picked someone who fits perfectly in the concept … it is Bart B More. With his successful remixes of for example Chocolate Puma’s ‘Touch Me’ and own original material like ‘Make Some Noise’, ‘Killing It’ and ‘Finally’, he made his way up in the international fidget house scene. He also runs his own imprint, Secure Recordings on which he releases at full force and his own label-nights. From his latest success single “So it goes” on Toolroom Records new remixes have just been released by Chocolate Puma, Dennis Demens and Double Depths.
Then we have Sound Of Stereo. The story behind this hot dj/production duo from Brussels is like a boys dream that became true. They create tracks in the Switch style: funky, groovy and danceable. After their first EP on the famous N.E.W.S label, a second one soon followed: the “Zoopah Dupah EP”. And now there is a new single ready with its own video clip called ‘Heads Up’. Now that they have conquered Belgium, they are doing it international.
Also our resident Spacid will bring his collection of funky electro records and as you know, when he’s behind the decks, all hands will go up in the air!
Ya’Mo from La Nuit Events will end the night in style with an electro house set. He won the award of Best Belgium Young Dj through his weekly residency at Decadance and his own concept La Nuit Events. Big news is that La Nuit Events will set up a permanent camp in the building of the Casino Kursaal: a house oriented club called The Krush Club.
