Concept:

Ultra offers you again the better minimal sounds, with a lot of musical twists, brought to you in a great venue, the Ball-room of Vooruit, with a great team & crowd.

For this edition we are very pleased to introduce Gregor Tresher. He has been proclaimed ‘best producer’ in Germany two years in a row. He’s released records on leading labels such as Datapunk (Anthony Rother), Cocoon, Intacto, Great Stuff and more. The title track of his album ‘Thousand Nights’ was one of the best selling records on Beatport in 2007 and he’s also remixed Sven Väth & Dubfire. His latest release ‘Break new Soul’ can be found on Moon Harbour recordings.

He will be joined by Marcus Vector with whom Sierra Sam runs the Toys for Boys and Nomor record labels. He also produces on these labels himself as well as for Jay Haze’s Contexterrior and Tuning Spork imprints.

Third guest is Juannes of P3P fame, he surprised us all with an amazing set in the Ultra room of Kozzmozz at the end of last year. He runs the Plus/Minus and DJ@Work parties in his home-town and will be launching a new concept with Prince Off : Twisted will replace the old P3P concept and will start in April.

And no Ultra without our resident Spacid, a highly in demand dj. in Belgium and abroad and a very versatile dj. which he will proof again this edition.

The day of new Ultra is upon us! In order to prepare ourselves we should all listen to this set by Spacid, recorded live @ the Ultra edition of 13-03-2008. The atmosphere was simply explosive, which explains the energy of this mix! You can expect the harder minimal techno works! It is after all in your best interest to warm up your hips and tushes for the next one ...

We also have some good news: Gregor Tresher is proud to present his brand new and very own label Break New Soil Recordings, and with the first release from the man himself, 'The Heartbeat Orchestra' is just out now. Two dark and epic masterpieces, that unfold their raw explosive power over the length of more than nine minutes each. This is Gregor´s view into the future of Techno - but also a hint to the past, to the energy of the early days, to long forgotten basement parties with just a strobe-light on. We also have some bad news: it will probably be the last Ultra ever in the Ballroom @vooruit, we move to new venue ...
so this will be a legendary edition ...
