Archief - Pc Help Needed.. Please :(

Hi !
Im not such a pro in CPU, so i have a few questions maybe you can help me ..

1)I want to upgrade my pc because last months is really getting slow.. while using heavy apps or playing games.. my new games(2010-2011) are shocking..
My PC specs are :
Core2Duo 2.66Ghz E6750
Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 1.7GB Pixel Shader 4.0 Vertex Shader 4.0
3GB RAM
Windows 7 ultimate 32Bit
*I think my Graphics card is good enough and that my CPU is too slow or old ?

2) I have a gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 , S-Series motherboard. It's Core2Duo Supported
*Can i use this motherboard for a Core2Quad CPU ? The manual is in chinese so i cant find any info..

Any suggestions about improving my pc speed are really welcome !

maybe your graphics is not enough, it depends what games u play, 9600GT is getting pretty old though.

bout your mainboard support for Quad is a no go i suppose, check here, and i dont see any bioses for it, GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-945GCMX-S2 (rev. 6.6)

E6750 is not that bad, if you oc it a little

I have a E6750 2.66 that I overclocked to 3.2ghz.
Runs good.
I have a scythe mugen CPU cooler.
Got 35-45degrees loaded.
