To all that are just getting to this thread in the last few pages.

This has been an ongoing problem for a couple of days now.

I've been watching and posting on this thread since 6:40am this morning.

The problem DOES NOT lay with Blizzard. I cant stress that enough. Please read through the thread from page 1 to get a cpmlete understanding of the problem.

In a nutshell:

A company called Telia, that provides the Bandwidth carrier for alot of EU ISP providers in UK, Greece, Belgium, France and many other countries suffered a 'physical' breakdown on a cable/fibre somewhere. Thsi prevented those ISPs from connecting to certain web based servers etc etc - O2, Orange, Virgin, BT, Co-op to name but a few.

If you look at the blue posts through the thread, u will see the answers and support given.

Over the course of the day, things have improved with many ISPs being fixed/re-routed etc.

If you are still experiencing problems, then check your providers forums/customer support for up-to-date info.

The rumour on the net atm, is that a Submarine crashed into a cable in the atlantic and caused alot of damage. How true that is, i have no idea, but thats the rumour. It was confirmed by some of the ISPs that somehting 'physical' had happened tho.

EDIT: Having said all that, I do believe that Providers are trying to re-route consumers connections, and this is probably taking time, as no doubt they have to do it area by area or zone by zone. So for example, O2 in Birmingham came up about 3pm, where as O2 in Kent wasnt till about 5pm or something. I think the best analogy ive seen today to explain it is as follows:

Imagine a 3 lane motorway. Each lane provides space for an even flow of traffic. Then one lane has a crash and stops all that traffic. If your in that lane, everything stops and you go nowhere. It then takes time for the 'services' to re-route the traffic, and get it going again.

Whether thats right or not, i dont know, but i understood it alot better when i read that.

Ik kan bv niet inloggen op de beta van mist of pandaria,
na een traceroute, ligt het inderdaad aan het hetzelfde probleem. Hij gaat via telia om naar de wow server te connecteren:

De trace is voltooid.

Bij mij lukt het nu om te downloaden (na 5x te proberen), maar het gaat nog traag

Bij welke provider ben je? Kan je eens een traceroute doen zoals in mijn voorbeeld?

Miss uitleggen hoe ge zo een traceroute net doet?

'Windows Key' + R -> Typ 'CMD' -> ENTER -> Typ 'tracert eu.battle.net' -> ENTER

Ik zit bij telenet.

Mijn traceroute is zoals die van u, gewoon da hij maar vanaf de 14e time-out heeft.
Da was gisteren ook zo.

Maar ik heb gisteren de launcher opnieuw opgestart toen hij niet meer verder kon en na een paar keer wou hij wel dowloaden. Twas dan wel met lage snelheden (+- 2 a 3 MB/sec)

Ik moest wel even lachen bij het submarine-gedeelte. "Crashed into a cable".

etc... hier ook 'tzelfde zal wel paar dagen wachten en iets anders gratis spelen

Nu heb ik mijn connecytie probleem opgelost. door een Kabel te gebruiken.

Door de een of andere manier is het niet meer mogelijk om met mijn asus G53SX via wifi te spelen. dus speel ik nu beetje ongemakkelijk met een kabel die lelijk door men huis loopt
