Hi all,
Thanks for your continued interest in Supreme Ruler 2010. The Beta Development continues and we are happy to inform you that there is another version now available for download. There are also some procedural changes that we would like to make you aware of at this time.
Notes:
1) The previous version (Open Beta 5) will expire on August 20th, so if you do not download and install the new version by then, the game will no longer allow time to run in the game. Please download the patch to Beta 6 to be able to continue testing.
2) The Patch to Open Beta 6 has been posted on the Beta FTP site. A reminder of the details:
Beta FTP Server: ftp://bugzilla.omnitask.com
Login: beta
Password: *******
File Name: SR2010-OB6-PATCH.EXE
3) The patch is a self-extracting archive that will overwrite files from the earlier Beta installs. You will need to provide the path to your Supreme Ruler 2010 installation directory if you changed the path during installation. Please read the "SR2010-OB6-Readme-First.txt" file for more details on the installation.
4) This patch will update ANY previous Open Beta version to the latest files. You need only download and install the Patch (NOT the "Full" version) if you already have SR2020 Open Beta installed. IF you are downloading the SR2010 Beta for the first time, then you will need to download and install the OB4-Full version first, and then apply the patch afterward.
5) Bug Reports: You can still post any bugs you find on Bugzilla if you want, but we are also checking for bug reports in the "Bug Reports" topic of our Forum (www.bgforums.com). A reminder of Bugzilla access:
Bugzilla Site: http://bugzilla.omnitask.com/bugzilla/index.cgi
You will be prompted for user name and password, this is NOT the same as the info you received by email, in order to access bugzilla enter the following:
Login: ****
Password: ****
Once logged in, choose "login" and type the username (your email address) and your password (received by email when you were accepted for the Beta).
6) The User Interface is essentially now locked. Therefore we will probably not be adding or deleting any features within the game. However, that does not mean that all the features are implemented. Many of the Ops features, some Military features, and AI elements are still not implemented. The future betas will have many of these elements (Yes, even WMD's) working. Remember though, just because a feature might not get added to this game, please continue to make suggestions -- they could always be used in the next game
7) This beta version has received a bit less internal testing after some major game engine changes, so make sure to look over everything carefully and report any problems to us on the forum. Some elements that previously worked may be disabled or have new bugs (also check the Readme file for the new list of known bugs).
