Sadly the production of Sturmwind has seen some complications. We a very sorry we have to bring you this news. Nevertheless we would like to thank everyone who is interested in Sturmwind for their continuous faith in this ambitious Indie project. You keep this project going.
Production complications: Sturmwind is about to be delayed In spite of best planing, the release of Sturmwind has to be postponed: Our long-term CD-ROM manufacturer surprisingly had to declare bankruptcy after 19 years in business. From 40 employees only a few remained. Therefore this resulted in the situation that the scheduled delivery date for Sturmwind could not be met in the end. The only possibility has been to relocate the production - to avoid further delays of the bankrupt facility. Nevertheless items like the spaceship models have been completely manufactured already. Our new partner is one of the largest videogame CD / DVD press plants in Europe with over 50 years of experience in medium production. In the meanwhile we already placed our production order for Sturmwind. The release date is set to TBA ("to be announced") consequently. Details are currently clarified between redspotgames, Duranik and the new facility. Also we are arranging material for another announcement with more exact information within December, which will be after Christmas however. All orders in the redspotgames online shop will remain valid.

Sturmwind has made the next step toward completion: The current version has been delivered to the new CD production facility to complete a test production series.
Once we receive these test CD-ROMs, further compatibility orientated procedures will be done. When these tests went without any complications, we can make the final order to complete the production of the Sturmwind CD-ROMs and manuals. As you might know, the Limited Editon boxes are already there, among other components.

Dear redspotgames customers and fans
In our last newsletter we have talked about the evaluation of the Sturmwind test CD-ROMs. These have been completed by now. Like we have thought due to our experience, the first run won't be the final run.
Compatibility issues occurred that made it impossible for us to continue with the production. It's the first Dreamcast project we're realizing with this new CD-ROM facility and the first Dreamcast project for them in general.
Good news are: We have worked on an update, which the CD factory has received in the meanwhile. They will work hard between the Christmas holidays to manufacture a new set of test CD-ROMs. We also will invest extra work during the holidays. Things are looking good.

Our reconnaissance drones have detected 16 promising locations for our search of „Mother“, the planet of our living ancestors. After several development steps by Duranik and redspotgames the launch date for your mission is clear.
Sturmwind pilots, your all-dominant mission will begin on April 24th 2013. All documents will be sent to you until this very date.
Fight over 20 boss enemies in 16 levels. In addition to the so-called “Award Trophy System”, there will also be an internet highscore list in which your performance can compete against each other worldwide. Your wings of steel are now our last resort.
Stay ready for further instructions. Over and out.

vandaag eindelijk aangekomen...
sprakeloos...blown away...nog veel meer...
alle beste elementen van gradius, thunderforce, axelay & r-type gecombineerd in één game.
de videos die ik er al heb van gezien doen de game eigenlijk geen goed; het ziet er traag en simpel uit maar niets is minder waar.
het is een vrij tactisch spel waarin je supersnel van wapen & schietrichting (zowel voor als achter uw schip) alles moet afknallen. er is ook een beam die ge kunt opladen a la r-type, maar als je de knop te lang ingedrukt houd, overhit uw wapen & ontploft het.
teveel te doen om even rap uit te leggen eigenlijk.
zeker wel een aanrader voor de dreamcast eigenaars hier. het zou perfect een shooter van op de ps3/360 kunnen zijn; ook grafisch (raar maar waar)
