De Finnen van BugBear willen voor hun fans een nieuwe game in de stijl van FlatOut, met inspiratie van Destruction Derby en andere games, creëren. Je kan de game nu al pre-orderen en je krijgt zo early access vanaf de alpha build en na 10,000 pre-orders wordt een kleine speelbare versie van wat al klaar is vrijgegeven voor alle pre-orders. Dit allemaal om de community zo veel mogelijk te betrekken in het development proces. Ze hebben een filmpje samen gegooid om het allemaal even uit te leggen.

Bugbear gives a playable prototype from the past for free!

Greetings from Bugbear, the developer of the original FlatOut games! We’re currently running a Kickstarter campaign for our Next Car Game, and we thought it would be a great time to share something very special with our fans.

We’ve just released a PLAYABLE prototype created over 10 years ago that has never been shown publicly. The prototype is slightly rough around the edges, but it served as an initial actualization of our vision for a reckless racing game, and despite the humble beginnings, it later grew into FlatOut franchise loved by millions of fans.

The foundation for our proprietary physics engine was laid down in the prototype, and even today, the physics engine we use is based on the same core. Actually, even the code wizard who developed it over ten years ago is working on our amazing Next Car Game!

Now we want to bring our original vision back to life on PC and next-gen consoles, and make a racing game offering unparalleled racing simulation, spectacular crashes and in-depth car upgrading. The racing game fans have never seen anything like it, and we can only do it with their support!

We will release a sneak peak technology demo of Next Car Game for our supporters right after the Kickstarter campaign has ended so that they can get a taste of things to come. They will help develop the best demolition racing game ever!

Next Car Game is a new, AAA quality demolition derby themed racing game with soft-body damage modeling, sophisticated driving dynamics and in-depth vehicle upgrading, featuring both demolition derbies and more traditional track races.
It’s all about fun, breakneck racing and over-the-top crashes. We don’t shy away from contact, and our in-house engine is all about what happens when cars collide with each other and the world around them at reckless speeds. It’s a motorsport, but not just any motorsport. It’s a motorsport with attitude.

Ook al lukt het niet met de kickstarter gaan ze toch de game uitbrengen, jammer genoeg met minder extras maar hoe dan ook de game wordt gereleased. Ik hoop dat de kickstarter het haalt, zelf wil ik nog upgraden naar een hogere reward nu dat ik ze gezien heb.

En die prototype van flatout 1 is wel eens fun om te spelen ^^

This is the moment you've all been waiting for: we're finally ready to show you some proper racing action on a dirt track! Here we are testing with a powerful rear-wheel drive car how our handling works on gravel, and we're glad to let you know that it feels SUPERB!

Thanks to our great physics, you really get the full white-knuckle racing experience with Next Car Game, if that's what you prefer. On the other hand, if you're a budding race car driver, you can still enjoy the game (and remain competitive!) by enabling a selection of driving aids.

Please note that the game is still very much work-in-progress, and what you see is not representative of the final quality. For example the track has not been properly decorated yet, and there's a lot of additional polish that's going to be done on it. Also, the player car damage has been disabled for the demonstration purposes.

voor de onwetenden: de early acces is nu ook gereleased
ge kunt nu op tarmac en gravel rijden en een derby doen met 23 tegenstanders en trijd nie simpel, achter ene crash moogt ge de podiumplek al vergeten

Yep,heb ook de early acces en dit is echt goed.Lang geleden dat ik me nog zo heb geamuseerd!

Jup zalig maar er als je naar links drift heeft de auto wel altijd de neiging om door te gaan naar links ipv te stoppen.Wel zalig als je racet met 24,er altijd een stuk of 10 kapot zijn tegen dat de race gedaan is

Wss zal de multiplayer hier wel het meest gespeeld zijn .

Heb de tech demo ook al gespeeld. Mis toch een beetje de nitro... Zouden ze dit volledig weglaten? Was toch mijn favoriet onderdeel van Flatout 2

ze gaan da er wel als optie insteken volgens mij om iedereen content te stellen, er zijn zowel hevige tegenstanders als voorstanders van op hun forum.

Aanrader! 't Is niet echt mijn genre maar dit spel heeft wel enorm veel potentieel. Vette graphics, vette physics, vette auto's, vet schademodel, AI die serieus wat tegenstand geeft, autowrakken die niet belachelijk ontploffen maar gewoon op de baan blijven staan gans de race,...

Ik kan het zeker en vast smaken. Online gaat dit spel sowieso dikke fun worden!

Zeker aan vast de moeite! Net weer even gespeeld, damn die 8 track is toch wel een chaos Ookal is het moeilijk om 1ste te eindigen, het blijft plezant. Al die wrakken naar het einde toe ook, dat zal wat geven online
